For our understanding, the West alludes to the people and regions of Europe and the territories of the Americas, Australia, and New Zealand. All these areas got settled by Europeans. The western civilisations may be rightly characterised as the cultures built primarily by the ethics and principles set forth by the Europeans (Guthrie, 2014). Western civilisation is further marked by the confidence in one God, separation of political and spiritual power popularly known as the division of Church and State. Experimental examination and scientific clarification of the physical world, once known as "common reasoning," now alluded to as science and a general faith in advancement given thought, regard for human rights. For example, the opportunity of love, the flexibility of expression, and the principle of law although these rights were stretched out gradually to va rious fragments of the populace. Western civilization Further, it believes in political rights, for example, the privilege to appreciate elected government, flexibility to get together, uniformity under the watchful eye of the law, and the opportunity to vote. These got slowly bestowed upon minorities, females, Blacks, and others. To me, the idea of western civilisation is a legitimated idea. The transformation of human beings from the clutches of church and despots to independent and dependent individuals has significantly enhanced the human development (Perry, 2015). The entire human history stands testimony that the human progress brought about by the ideals of western civilisation has influenced the humanity in a positive manner. All the ideas of western culture illustrated above are the ideals cherished by everybody. The democracy, capitalism, freedom of speech and other human rights gets inherently demanded by everybody.
